Rifqi is an interdisciplinary researcher at the intersection of political science and STS. His academic path in Political Science at Universitas Gadjah Mada and Science and Technology Studies at the University of Edinburgh has shaped his understanding of how technology, institutions, and policy intersect.
Rifqi has built his career across the media and knowledge industries, translating research into narratives and public issues into research agendas. This has included leading donor-funded, multi-country research programmes and managing the full cycle from stakeholder engagement to publication. Throughout, digital governance, elections, and artificial intelligence have remained his focus across newsrooms, think tanks, and international research institutions.
At TMPI, Rifqi serves as Policy Manager, overseeing Policy Labs’ thought leadership through research, publications, and public activations.
