Organization Details
The Merah Putih Initiative (TMPI) is an independent and non-government institution, formed out of a deep commitment to addressing Indonesia’s evolving policy environment. Our mission is to set a new benchmark on how the country’s policy priorities are designed, executed, and improved.
As national policy priorities expanded in scale and ambition, many lacked clear public articulation and faced challenges in grassroots execution, resulting in suboptimal impact despite their long-term importance. TMPI exists to help close these gaps and strengthen how policy intent translates into credible development outcomes in Indonesia.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Project Expert, Project Manager, and Project Analyst with expertise or familiarity in Operations & Supply Chain, preferably in F&B business to join TMPI’s District Labs, the arm dedicated to supporting government counterparts in delivering credible policy execution of Indonesia’s national priority programs.
This is a rare opportunity to strengthen large-scale national policy delivery as operations move from rapid expansion to consolidation. You will help resolve bottlenecks on the ground and raise consistency in quality, safety, and efficiency at every step, from local producers to the point of service. This role is ideal for operations and supply chain professionals who thrive in complex, high-stakes environments, have a problem-solving mindset, and are passionate about translating policy intent into reliable, on-the-ground delivery that addresses Indonesia’s most pressing development challenges.

Sourcing, Production & Distribution Operations

- Develop sourcing strategies that integrate local producers, MSMEs, cooperatives, and regional food ecosystems into a reliable and cost-efficient supply base.
- Map and optimize end-to-end supply chain flows, including procurement, inventory, logistics, and last-mile distribution, to reduce bottlenecks, waste, and cost leakage.
Quality Assurance& Performance Monitoring
- Develop safety, hygiene, and quality assurance frameworks, including inspection protocols, compliance checklists, and incident response procedures.
- Design monitoring and supervision mechanisms to track operational performance, compliance, and service quality across production and distribution units.
- Analyze field findings and incident data to identify systemic risks and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Data, Systems & Supply Chain Intelligence
- Support the design of integrated data systems and dashboards that provide real-time visibility over supply, production, distribution, and quality indicators.
- Define data standards, KPIs, and reporting flows that enable evidence-based decision making.
- Translate operational data into actionable policy insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
